Another sunny cloudless day. Warm temp. 12-14.2C. Light SE breezes. 81-77%
humidity. Lots of haze, and birds quickly got lost in the haze when distant
or very high.
Raptor Observations:
The single adult BE at 10:30am today breaks the season record at Rockfish
Gap Hawk Watch! Our previous record of 115 was last year.
Two more Norther Harriers, and another Red-shouldered Hawk.
Non-raptor Observations:
3 Hot Air Balloons greeted us early rising over the low fog to the east
near Charlottesville.
Fair # of Chimney Swifts.
2 Pileated Woodpeckers.
Lots of Northern Flickers.
45 Blue Jays.2 Ruby Crowned Kinglets.
