Observers: Doug Graham, Matt Orsie
Visitors:
Bob Blakeney. Thanks to Doug Graham who handled the counting chores until
1pm.
Weather:
Beastly hot, with temps from 24 to 33C. High blue sky with significant
haze. Cumulus clouds built in from the west mid-day, first a blessing, then
not so much, as storms up the ridge to our north completely shut down the
flight at 1:20pm. Winds out of the east again today --- our best wind
direction at Snickers.
Raptor Observations:
Lots of Broadwings streamed steadily through on both sides of the ridge.
Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays - 48
Chimney Swifts - 25
