Observers:
Weather:
Temps 78-79F
Lovely, howling, post-Irene winds out of the NW at 25.
Hurricane clouds cleared after noon, followed by fair weather cumulus
building in. Winds began to abate a bit after 1pm.
Raptor Observations:
Ospreys all crossed the ridge from the east. Surprising "grey ghost"
Harrier rose up from the river side of the ridge to well overhead with a
mere three slight flicks of the wings in that wind. Also surprising
bat-out-of-Hell Merlin zoomed south along the west side of the ridge.
Non-raptor Observations:
1 post-hurricane white-mantled Tern sp.
73 Tree Swallows
