I ventured out this morning to go and try to get some better pics of the
vireos at Harrison Lake. Met up with fellow lister Les Brooks who beat
me there. He was watching the big oak tree near the road, so I headed
to the little tree in the back that had all the vireos yesterday. It
was very quiet. It was still quite cloudy and bird activity was
minimal. I sat there for a good twenty minutes before the activity
picked up. Seems like they were waiting for the sun. Again today, there
were many vireos in the tree. Also had summer tanagers, bluebirds,
eastern kingbirds, sparrows, downey woodpecker, robins, pigeons, and a
mockingbird. Whatever that tree is, the vireos really love it.
