Visitors:
Wonderful help from Phillip, Bill and Katie, Andrew and his family. Dave B
stopped by. Met Richard and his dog Peepers. Had a nice couple from Fairfax
watch with us for a bit. Couple of folks checking out the milkweed for
monarch eggs.
Weather:
Western Valley shrouded by clouds till 11a. Otherwise partly cloudy to blue
skies with a visibility of 5. Temp from 67F - 80F. Winds light at 0-1 and
generally from the W.
Raptor Observations:
First bird was a BW at 9:10a on the East. All other raptors to the West.
Had an RT land just down the road on the parkway railing. Had 3 local RT's
today.
Non-raptor Observations:
Hairy Woodpecker, Cedar Waxwing, Goldfinch, Flycatcher (sp?), Swifts, and a
Nighthawk. 3 monarchs. Lots of dragonflies today.
Predictions:
Heat with a few raptors on the side.
