Bob Miller came by for an annual or so visit. Very nice gentleman.
Weather:
Overcast in the AM, but clearing in the PM with warm temperatures and blue
skies; cloudless in the raptor flight path, but 5 to 35 % overall.
Temperature ranged from 18.8 to 19.0 and then 18.3; visibility 4
throughout; barometer varied only slightly between 30.16 to 30.17. Wind
was consistently from the ESE at 1 to 2 throughout.
Raptor Observations:
I had difficulty identifying a large bird and decided on a Golden Eagle and
will put the (poor) photo on our FB site. All birds on the East side in
the lift from the East wind. There was an immature Golden Eagle going
North.
Non-raptor Observations:
Few people on the parkway today as the leaves have flown (as this bird
[Beatles]). Carl had Mike fill in for him today, but he had some emergency
and so I made it up after some errands.
Predictions:
Hope the Redtaileds continue despite the cloudy day with light east wind.
