Visitors:
Sue came up today, as well as Roger, and spent the day. The extra eyes were
welcomed.
Weather:
Temps ranged 20-26C. Cloud cover from 20% building to 100% with rain and
thunderstorms in the west valley at 2 p.m.
Visibility 4 throughout the day with haze building in both valleys dropping
to zero visibility in the west valley as the storm approached. SW winds at
3-4 changing to SE and back to SW.
Raptor Observations:
ABE 10:40; IBE 12:20; IBE 12:43; ABE 12:46; IBE 1:19; IBE 1:21
Little activity until after 12:00 when raptors started appearing low on the
east side and over the Knob. Very close looks on all birds.
Non-raptor Observations:
Grass was mowed today, stirring up gnats. Parkway traffic was moderate with
several people stopping with questions.
Predictions:
Cooler with southerly winds, possible early shower.
