Visitors:
Had a lot of help from many of the regular observers and visitors. I'd like
to thank them all.
Weather:
West/southwest winds variable at 3-7 mph. Cloud cover 100% early breaking
to less than 10%. Heavy, dense fog breaking up in the 10:00 hour.
Temperatures ranged from 17C to 23C. Visibility was at 3-4 throughout the
day with heavy haze on the west side.
Raptor Observations:
Rather slow day for raptors until 2:00-4:00 when we had large broad wing
kettles in the west valley and smaller kettles in the east. The majority of
those observed were out in the valley and high.
ABE 11:40. ABE 12:40. IBE 1:25. ABE 2:35.
Non-raptor Observations:
Normal Parkway traffic throughout the day. At least a dozen hikers, both
sectional- and through-. Most visited and rested before continuing their
trips.
Predictions:
Supposed to be similar to today as to weather and hopefully number of
birds.
