Visitors:
Dave and Mitch arrived early to cover any movement in the breaks of the
overcast. Kristine, Andrew, Darrell, and Bob braved the elements to provide
additional support. Barry drove thru and said âhiâ while out looking
for dickey birds. I know I missed a few others that observed as well, sorry
about that!
Weather:
Low overcast, covering the Watch for at least 3 hours creating frustrating
conditions. Visibility varied from 0 to 30 miles. Winds from the East at 10
pushing moisture over the ridge. Light mist during the 1 pm hour.
Raptor Observations:
Total of 4 Raptors observed during a 30 minutes window centered around
Noon, all on the East side.
Non-raptor Observations:
As previously reported, the stink bugs have returned in force. Blue Jays
active around the watch as well as large groups migrating South.
7 hikers on the AT with 5 in full camping gear.
