Visitors:
Baron makes his first visit of the season! There were plenty of other eyes
providing invaluable help. Matt, Dale, Phillip, Mike, Dillard, Bill,
Andrew and his Mom, and the Goffs all pitched in.
Weather:
Warm day with temperatures ranging from 68F-77F. Winds started light and
variable, but eventually came at us from the E. Wind speeds from 0-3. It
was hazy, with visibility of 2. Cloud cover varied from wispy to 100% high
cloud cover later in the day.
Raptor Observations:
What a day for Team Osprey. We initially saw them on both sides of the Knob
. Later they came in primarily from the E.
Coming in low and slow just E of the Knob, a Mature Eagle was seen at 1:45.
Non-raptor Observations:
Saw a nice string of Camaros. Baron was impressed by a Miata hauling a
motorcycle.
15 Monarchs were seen today.
Predictions:
Hopefully we will see hawks. Even if we do not, we know they will get
closer with every day.
