VA Birders,
I spent about 3 hours at Fort Smith Park in Arlington Co. today, and
tallied nearly 30 species. Highlights were a Hermit Thrush, my first in
Arlington this year, and a Gray Catbird, which came to the park's Bird Stream.
I
also saw a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and there were lots of Am. Robins,
Euro. Starlings, and Am. Goldfinches. In fact, I was surprised at all the
activity at the Bird Sream on such a cloudy day, and especially after all the
rain we had the last few days.
Good birding,
