The high elevation forests in Highland Co are still leafless and
relatively quiet. Did hear scattered Blue-headed Vireos and juncos.
Also heard, then saw 1 creeper; almost drove over a grouse near Straight
Fork.
Down in the valley, finches (all 4) swarmed the feeders, meadowlarks
vocalized loudly from fence posts, and bluebirds jockeyed for nest boxes
with tree swallows.
Spring's coming.
