I visited Hog Island WMA in Surry Co. this morning. There's too much water
there to support any sizeable concentrations of shorebirds right now. There's
was more water there today than when I last visited on 7/24, probably due to
recent downpours. Highlights included 2 juvenile TRICOLORED HERONS and the
continuing RING-NECKED DUCK and AMERICAN COOTS. For anyone interested, a full
