I wish all of you the best for this season and the new year. In your
birding pursuits, I hope you get that elusive lifer, you are watching the
feeder when the redpoll alights and the wind stops long enough to get that
shorebird in the scope.
Thank you for the support I have received from you this year, especially in
the past month.
Appended below is a short reminder on how to suspend VA-Bird email if you
will be away from email during the holidays. Starting December 24th I will
be in and out of touch until January 8th, so your requests to me may go
unanswered for several days.

Make sure you send VA-Bird listserv commands to the correct email address:
va-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Note it differs from the VA-Bird posting email address. For all commands,
place them in the subject line of the email, without quotes or any other
punctuation. Leave the body of the email blank.
To unsubscribe, send an email from the email account you subscribed to
VA-Bird with unsubscribe in the subject line (no quotes).
The command vacation will suspend all VA-Bird email until you send a
second command unset vacation.
The command digest will give you one email per day with all VA-Bird
postings for that day. Again, to stop the digest, send the command unset
digest.
Within minutes you should receive a confirming email from freelists.org
stating that your command was accepted.....or not.
