To all,
I saw an eagle circling for a bit just a few minutes ago. There was another
buteo circling in another direction, identification unknown. I have started
to see the gulls again. I am still a bit unsure of the species. They have a
dusky to dark heard with a short square tail and quick wingbeats. Ever since
my neighbors cat killed a bird in my yard I have noticed more and more blue
jays present. Just 15-20 minutes ago there was a huge flock of about 50-100
jays, the most I have seen on one sitting.
Also at school,
The outdoors club will be including birding as a small part, and I will be
teaching it. Hopefully Northern VA will get more young birders.
