Thanks to a call from Jeff Blalock, I got to see a flock of approximately 40
HORNED LARKS and 1 AMERICAN PIPIT feeding on the roadside and in the median
of Highway 58 just west of South Boston this afternoon.
Also of note in the vicinity was a Kestrel, 2 Snipe and 3 Meadowlarks.
At another location nearby, I saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk attack a flock of
Juncos.
