If anyone would like to contribute information to a study about hummingbirds
that have been in Virginia between November 1st and March 15 of any year, it
would be much appreciated.
Specifically, if you know about any species of hummingbird between November
1st and March 15th of any year and the bird stayed for at least a week:
how long was the feeder in the sun each day?
were there flowering plants around and which ones?
was there water around?
was there any low, dense plant cover or did a bird use a building for
shelter?
what was the weather during the stay?
any other interesting information about why a bird may have chosen the site
or stayed there......
