I have been meaning to get this up for the past week, so I'll take
Barbara's email from Springfield as my impetus to get it done.
I had a female or immature male (no signs of any feathers changing on
the gorget at all) at the feeder as of yesterday (left before dawn today
so may still be there.)
It appears to have a slightly broken beak, but is feeding actively, even
on Monday when the front came through and the temps dropped to the 40
degree range with rain and wind. I am keeping the feeders full and
fresh, but wonder how long this one can handle temps in the 20's coming
up.
