Starting yesterday (Sun.) , the number of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in my
yard have leaped. This normally does not happen until about mid-August,
based on the notes/journal that I maintain. Numbers are still relatively
small by mega-site standards, but my best guess is that I have gone from
about 6 consistent hummers to about three times that. Numbers will likely
grow from here. I currently have 5 feeders out (front and back yards), all
8 oz. four-port feeders.
