VA BIRDers,
A quick stop late this afternoon, in the rain, at the shorebird pull-off next
to Hunting Creek yielded up a good mix, to wit:
Semipalmated Plover 5
Greater Yellowlegs 7
Lesser Yellowlegs 14
Semipalmated Sandpiper 12
Western Sandpiper 2
Least Sandpiper 30
Short-billed Dowitcher 1
as I left, I saw a Snowy Egret on the riverside pilings by the Stone Bridge,
posted up with a bunch of Great Egrets.
