Good sporadic activity this morning. On the path to the boardwalk were
winter wren, brown creeper, and fox sparrow. Not far on the boardwalk were
3-4 additional fox sparrows. Quite a few of the normal swamp, song, and
white-throated sparrows.
Until a harrier stirred things up there was a good mix of ducks: mallard,
gw teal, am widgeon, gadwall, n shoveler, and perhaps American black. About
four snipe were seen flying with ducks when the harrier came too close.
On the return in the center of the boardwalk area were a pair of American
tree sparrows.
