Peter Frechtel and I birded the Hike/Bike Trail on Sunday. Best bird was a
tree sparrow. Others were:
Savannah 1
Fox 1
White-throated
Song
Swamp
Field
Junco
For a respectable 8 species. No towhee, though, and no yellow-rumps. Other
notable birds
Phoebe 1
GC kinglet
RC kinglet
Hermit thrush 4
Sapsucker 1
Winter wren 4
Barred owl 1 (heard)
Also the most FLICKERS I've ever seen at Huntley, a minimum of 35 (seen at
once), and probably more than 50.
