Traveling north on I-288 by the Broad Street interchange I always check on
the Blue Heron Rookery located in the southeast quadrant. Today at 9:50
a.m. I noticed five Heron sitting on four of the seven nests with one
additional Heron perched out on a limb. As I came back by around noon
all looked vacant unless they were hunkered down, which may have been the
case given today's winds.
