VA BIRDers,
I helped out on the VSO Field Trip to the James River Park today, starting
from the 42nd St. parking area. We went downstream to the old visitor center
and then upstream nearly to the bridge. Highlights were great looks at
Blue-winged Warbler and Prothonotary Warbler. Most frustrating moments were
trying to see any of the Yellow-throated Warblers along the path - there were
at least 7 - and spotting none. The following is my list of the day, which
includes some species observed from the parking lot early in the morning
(0630) before the group arrived.
