I arrived home early from work on Friday, July 2nd around 3pm in the
afternoon. The heat was unbearable and I went to the back garden to water
the plants. But first, I checked the seed feeder to see if the coons had
wiped me out yet. As I approached the feeder, a bird flitted from among
the rasberry brambles - a JUNCO!
It sat on the fence looking at me in shock (as I had scared him) and I
stood there looking at him in shock (thinking to myself, this isn't normal
is it!?). He sat on the fence for a good 15 seconds and then flew off -
showing his diagnostic tail colors.
a JUNCO in JULY!? :)
