I chased the female King Eider this morning at the
CBBT; I ran into Brian Patteson doing the same thing.
My heart sank into my stomach a little more and a
little more as we came up empty on Islands 1,2, and 3,
but there she was on the west side of Island 4, in all
her splendor. I was lucky enough to photograph her
sitting on the rocks and will try to post that later.
Beautiful bird (well, aren't they all....?)
