Howdy all,
Well the second day of banding was not like the first, in the way of birds.
Once again the rains set in mid-morning and put a halt to bird activity as well
as banding. After the rains left, the birds just were not there today. Guess
that's just the way it goes sometimes.
We ended up with only a total of 9 birds banded today.
Northern Waterthrush 2
Black and white Warbler 1
Traill's Flycatcher
(willow or alder) 1
Carolina Wren 2
Red-eyed Vireo 1
Northern Cardinal 2
Hope tomorrow is better and DRY!
On the other hand, the frogs and toads seem to be in heaven here!
