Observation start time: 06:30:00
Observation end time: 15:30:00
Total observation time: 9 hours
Official Counter: Anna Stunkel
Observers: Bill Purcell, Eli Gross, Julia Magill, Rose Leong,
Wes Hetrick
Weather:
Blustery winds were generally from the southeast, with mostly cloudy to
overcast skies and temperatures in the mid seventies to mid eighties.
(Thank goodness a much-needed cool-off is in the forecast.)
Raptor Observations:
It was slow, but peregrines were zooming by low and close, which was nice.
Non-raptor Observations:
There continues to be an unusual lack of Monarchs. Only one was seen today.
Not much was going on non-raptor-wise, but the Red-breasted Nuthatches were
very active. At least 5-6 of them were hanging around near the feeders,
cute as can be.
