Weather:
Light winds were variable with a northerly component. Skies were overcast
in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures were in the
high fifties to sixties.
Raptor Observations:
It was a slow day, but there was a little burst of low-flying birds in the
morning.
Non-raptor Observations:
We participated in the Big Sit today, and tallied a nice total of 74 bird
species seen and/or heard from the platform. Several visitors helped out.
An Orange-crowned Warbler in the Deodar Cedar was a nice highlight. Other
observations included:

30 Cedar Waxwings
~10 Red-breasted Nuthatches
7 Purple Finches
5 White Ibises
3 American Goldfinches
3 Great Egrets
2 Common Loons
2 House Finches
2 Pine Siskins
