Observation start time: 09:30:00
Observation end   time: 14:45:00
Total observation time: 5.25 hours

Official Counter:        Anna Stunkel

Observers:

Weather:
Strong to very strong winds (with some gusts up to ~40 mph) were from the
east northeast and northeast, with cloudy skies and temperatures in the low
eighties.

Raptor Observations:
There was a strong movement of low-flying, quick Ospreys today. A few
peregrines also zipped by. It was nice to enjoy a flight of very low, fast
raptors today.

Non-raptor Observations:
Given the high winds, passerines were very quiet. A few Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds, including an adult male, were quite active at the feeders.
Fifteen White Ibises, two Chimney Swifts, two Great Blue Herons, and a
scattering of Tree Swallows were also seen.

Predictions:
Heavy rain and high winds from Hurricane Florence during the next two days.
Stay safe, everyone.
