Total observation time: 10 hours
Official Counter: Anna Stunkel
Observers: Bob Ake, Bob Anderson, Thuy Tran
Weather:
Light winds were mostly from the northeast and east northeast, with cloudy
skies and temperatures in the seventies.
Raptor Observations:
We had good falcon movement today, and a boost in accipiter numbers as
well. Most birds were zipping by low and close, which made for a fun day.
Non-raptor Observations:
The highlight of the day was a Wood Stork, which flew over the platform
rather low at 2:18 pm EST. Great looks were had by all. The bird came from
the north northwest and was heading south southeast. Photographic evidence
will be posted on eBird. A Wilson's Snipe flew over, and a Rose-breasted
Grosbeak was seen this morning.
