Weather:
Moderate to strong winds were variable, mostly from the northwest. Skies
were mostly clear, with temperatures in the fifties.
Raptor Observations:
A beautiful subadult Golden Eagle passed very close to the platform today.
During the bird's first pass it popped up over the red roof and then
circled back to the north. About 15 minutes later, the bird joined some
Turkey Vultures and headed south. We had some nice views of red-shoulders,
and a good Bald Eagle flight.
Non-raptor Observations:
Five American White Pelicans were seen late this morning, heading southwest
in a small V formation. Tree Swallows put on a spectacular show this
afternoon, with large flocks swarming back and forth over the bay. Other
highlights included:

4 House Finches
4 Purple Finches
2 Northern Rough-winged Swallows (FOS)
1 Baltimore Oriole
1 Chimney Swift
1 Dark-eyed Junco
1 Field Sparrow
1 White-crowned Sparrow
