Thank you to the Eastern Shore Bird Club for visiting! We're glad that you
enjoyed your time at the hawkwatch and out on the trails.
Weather:
Light winds were variable, often from the southwest. Skies were partly to
mostly cloudy, with temperatures in the forties and fifties.
Raptor Observations:
It was relatively slow, but we had a nice harrier flight. Birds were mostly
high-flying today.
Non-raptor Observations:
Pine Siskins (at least 29) and American Goldfinches were all over the
feeders today, and thousands of American Robins were flying south this
morning. Yellow-rumped Warblers were everywhere, and one even landed just a
couple feet from me, sitting on the platform rail for a few seconds. Other
highlights included:

2 American Pipits
2 Eastern Meadowlarks
2 White-crowned Sparrows
1 Chimney Swift
1 Field Sparrow
