Howdy all,
The last two days have finally brought in a little cool weather. Kind of nice
to see, somewhat. This last front pushed out a lot of Yellow-rumps and brought
in very few. I am kind of bummed. Yesterday was quite windy but today was a
very nice day. I wish we could have a few more days like today.
Although not rare birds were caught, we did have a few very late birds. Today
we caught a Wood Thrush and a Gray-cheeked Thrush! Odd to get a GCTH this time
of year, most are of the Bicknell's background at this time. This bird WAS a
GCTH however. Pretty cool!
We also caught our second Purple Finch of the season as well.

No yellow-rumps on the 5th and only 18 today. I sure wish those numbers would
go up!
It is amazing how many Song Sparrows are around this year at the station!
Cheers,
Jethro
