Howdy all,
The last two days have been pretty ugly. Banded 8 each day. If there is a
bright spot, we did catch a YELLOW WARBLER on the 13th. The rest were expected.
BUT, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Tuesday looks like it might
be the first big day of the year for us. The cold front looks good but, as
always, I am a bit concerned with the predicted wind speed. But at least it is
calmer than what the last two mini fronts gave us. All said, I am pretty
excited by the forecast! We are off to a very bad start, and would love to up
things a bit and I am really, really, hoping Tuesday is the day.
But we still have to make it through Monday yet. I predict another snoozer.
Here are the totals for the last two days.
9/13:
American Redstart 2
Black & white Warbler 2
Common Yellowthroat 1
Yellow Warbler 1
House Wren 1
Carolina Wren 1
TOTAL----------------------------- 8
9/14:
American Redstart 2
Common Yellowthroat 2
White-eyed Vireo 3
Northern Cardinal 1
TOTAL------------------------------- 8
