Howdy all,
Today turned out to be a nice little day. Weather was great, and the birds
flew most of the morning. By days end, we had banded 206 birds of 22 species.
Highlight bird was a LINCOLN'S SPARROW. But maybe the most loved by the
workers here was the RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH (our second of the season). Not
sure
what to expect for the next few days as the temps creep upwards. This next
front could bring us a ton of YELLOW-RUMPS. Tis' that season here.
Oh yea, we caught a lot of YELLOW-RUMPS today.
Totals for 10/14:
Swamp Sparrow 8
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
Song Sparrow 3
Field Sparrow 1
White-throated Sparrow 15
