This morning Lois Gebhardt and I went to the site south of Gladys to see the
Mississippi and Swallow-tailed Kites. We got there at 10 am. Roy Evans was
also there and said the kites often became active around 10:15. A juvenile MK
flew up out of the grass and disappeared into the trees at 10:10 and that was
the last view of the MK while we were there. But about 10:30 the StK made a
nice flight over the trees and settled in a tree top for 15 minutes of
preening. We saw two beautiful flights after that and left at noon.
