A quick stop at Sandy River Reservoir revealed a few Ruddy Ducks,
Mallards,and two Lesser Scaup. Just as I was about to leave three female
LONG-TAILED DUCKS landed on the water. I watched them for several minutes
and tried and failed to take some distant pictures before they took off. A
few females have also been seen in the same area in previous years.
