I visited Lake Accotink this afternoon in search of migrants. After parking at
the Ellet Road entrance, I turned left and followed the trail that leads to the
lake. I encountered a nice selection of birds including six warbler species:
Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Palm, Magnolia, Yellow-throated, and
American Redstart. I also saw a Swainson's Thrush and a flock of five Wood
Ducks. For you damselfly fans, I also saw and photographed a Slender
Spreadwing.
