Hello all
This morning Elaine Carwile & I took off to Lake Anna But the first stop was
Zions Crossroads where the Field for Short - eared Owls are to look for the
Sandhill Crane A total bust . Next stop Lake Anna Best bird there was a White -
winged Scoter male viewed from the picnic area . Other birds of interest were
Gulls , Ring - billed , Herring , Bonaparte's , Great Black - backed . Ducks
were Red Breasted Merganser , Bufflehead , Mallard . Horned & Pied - billed
Grebe , Common Loon . Over at Colonial Heights the Gulls were Ring - billed
several thousand , Herring , one Lesser Black - backed & one Laughing . The
bill looked to thick for any other black headed gull .
