I tried this location a little after 8 AM this morning, with no success. I
didn't even find any Chipping Sparrows.
For those interested in trying from Richmond, Dover Road is about 6 miles
west of the intersection of 288 and Rte. 6. Note that Dover Green is a
private
horse farm, 0.9 miles north of the intersection of Dover Road and Rte. 6.
It is possible to pull off the road shortly before their mail box. I did
check the mowed areas along the road in both directions, as well as the
adjacent
field just south of the Dover Green entrance.

This morning I observed an adult Lark Sparrow in Goochland County along SR
642 (Dover Rd). The bird was feeding along the road and in an equestrian
training ring on the grounds of Dover Green. The location is ~.9 miles off of
Highway 6 in Goochland County. The bird loosely associated with Chipping
Sparrows.
