I went to Blandy Arboretum for the first time on a beautiful Thanksgiving
morning, but dipped on all of the goodies reported. I did hear a
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE, and saw some SISKINS, RB NUTS, and a WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROW. I saw essentially nothing on a return trip on a very windy
Saturday afternoon. But on Friday on private property outside Upperville, I
watched a first-year Baltimore oriole feeding on berries, and enjoyed
watching the antics of several RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS.
Happy Thanksgiving.
