Hey all, apologize in advance if the formatting of this email comes out weird,
as I expect it will....Briefly scoped the James River off Lion's Bridge of
Mariner's Museum Park in Newport News this morning. It was choppy out there
and most ducks were way out, but there were at least 700-800 scaup rafted up
out there. A few individuals foraging closer to shore could be ID'd as Lesser
Scaup. 2 Laughing Gulls flew up-river close, and an Osprey was foraging just
off the beach there too. Best, Nick FlandersRaleigh, NC
