Calling repeatedly somewhere between the platform at the end of the
Hike/Bike Trail. Also a PURPLE MARTIN flying over the wetland. And a CHAT
not in the normal place-the little meadow to the right of the platform.
Lots of merg and wood duck groups of young. (Wonder if the recruitment
numbers will be up because of the higher water levels?) Otherwise, pretty
quiet summer morning. Note that the purple milkweeds are in full bloom, and
covered with great spangled fritillaries.
