I spent about 3-1/2 hours at Leesylvania State Park this morning, where I met
Ben Jessup and Kim Peacock. We had a nice time. The action was not fast
paced, but there was good diversity. Highlights were a gorgeous male hooded
warbler on the hill, 2 flyover red-headed woodpeckers, a gorgeous close-up male
bay-breasted warbler that took "confusing" out of "confusing fall warbler",
summer tanager, blue grosbeak, and my first white-throated sparrows of the
fall. Here a list of what I saw:
