I visited Leesylvania SP again this morning. Similar to yesterday, a few birds
were around but no numbers to speak of. On the hillside below the ruins were
Cape May (2), bay-breasted, yellow-throated (2), yellow, chestnut-sided, and
magnolia warblers, common yellowthroat, northern parula, redstart,
yellow-billed cuckoo, cedar waxwing, house wren, and Baltimore orioles. Near
the pond in the picnic area was a veery, and 5 or 6 Baltimore orioles. The
overflow parking lot had a singing acadian flycatcher. In the Brushy Pt. area
were wood thrush, veery (2), gnatcatcher, brown thrasher, and black and white
warbler (2).
