Hello all
I am finially back up & running my base computer . It will state a message
from Herbert Larner not Allen & Pat . If any one gets a test message from me
I will be collecting e - mail addresses .
This morning I kicked off the summer season by doing one of the three Quail
& Rabbit runs for the DGIF. While seeing nor hearing any Quail & spotting
only 2 Rabbits I headed out to see what was on some of the ponds in & around
Augusta County .
My first stop was the old Dupont ponds in Waynesboro & so on thru out the
County . Below is what I found there & all areas that I checked this morning
. .
Hooded Merganser -- 2 females -- No Night Herons
Golden Eagle -- in the Swoope area about a mile from Smiths Pond Flying
high & heading North .
Red - shouldered Hawk - flying just above Eagle kettling .
Great Blue Heron adult with 2 fledged young at Smiths
Great Egret -- at Smiths
Yellow - crowned Night Heron -- 1 Juv. at Smiths
Not a bad day of birding in & around Augusta County .
