Sorry for the late post. Yesterday morning I spent some time slowly
walking the Limberlost Trail, as this was my first time at this location.
This
trail is flat and an easy 1.5 mile walk. The birds were active from the
moment I entered the trail. By far the most common was the Eastern Towhee.
They were combing through the leaves and often came down to the trail
within a few feet of me. Other highlights included American Redstarts,
Black-throated Blues (only females), Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black-and-Whites,
Juncos, Canada Warbler, Hooded Warblers, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, and a
Scarlet Tanager.
