On January 24, the waterfowl at Murray's Pond (in Waterfall Lake
subdivision) in Roanoke included a pair of redheads, a
female canvasback, pintail, ring-necked duck, and bufflehead. Plus the
usuals like green-winged teal, hooded merganser, coot, gadwall and wigeon.
Maybe nothing exceptional for you folks over on the coast, but special for
us landlocked duck lovers.
