It took a great deal of patience but we were finally able to locate the
Loggerhead Shrike today in the same field at Blandy Farm as mentioned in
previous posts. It was found about 2pm in the extreme north portion of the
field. We were able to get adequate views with a spotting scope since it did
cooperate and return to the same post several times. It was a beautiful
day at Blandy and we did bird other areas. No crossbills were heard or
seen, but there were 5-6 Rusty Blackbirds in the wetland next to the
pavillion.
